controls — Lurking Giants

Lurking Giants keeps its controls simple, but two details catch people out: sprint is on E rather than Shift, and you must put your lantern away before you can climb. Get those two into muscle memory and the rest is standard Roblox movement.

PC controls

ActionInput
MoveW A S D
SprintE
JumpSpace
CrouchLowers your hitbox behind cover between pulses
CameraRight-click drag to rotate, scroll to zoom
Giant — AttackQ
Giant — HauntG

Sprint is E, not Shift. Coming from other Roblox games this is the number-one reason survivors get caught mid-relocation.

Mobile controls

ActionInput
MoveLeft virtual joystick
SprintDedicated on-screen button (not a double-tap run)
CameraSwipe to rotate, pinch to zoom
Giant abilitiesAttack and Haunt buttons appear only when you are the giant
the night cycle — Lurking Giants
Controls only matter in service of the night cycle — the pulse tells you when to move.

VR & controller support

VR and controller support is officially announced as coming 'soon' but is not yet live. No binding layout has been published, so anything you read elsewhere about VR controls is speculation.

The one rule that beats good controls

Defaults may shift during the rework — the in-game Configuration menu is the source of truth for rebinds. None of these keybinds matter if you ignore the night cycle — the pulse tells you when to use them. Read the survival guide to turn movement into staying alive.
