A tier list on a game this size is less about a long ladder and more about understanding the matchup. Here is how the playable giants and both maps stack up, and — more usefully — why.
Giant tier list
| Tier | Giant | Why |
|---|---|---|
| S | Guilt | Guilt trades Locust's snappier commitment for presence and pressure. |
| A | Locust | Locust has a shorter reach than Guilt but commits to its attack animation faster, which makes it punishing in the open. |
Guilt tops the list on raw presence and reach, but this is a soft ranking: Locust's faster attack commitment makes it the stronger pick on the open Forest, where sightlines do the hunting for you. The incoming VERITY giant will slot in once its abilities are known.

Map tier list
| Map | Favours | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Forest | Giant | when a visibility pulse hits, there is very little between the giant and a highlighted survivor.. |
| City | Survivor | as long as you respect the climbing rules.. |
Survivor strategy tiers
If you play survivor, the real "tier list" is your habits, not a character. Ranked by how much they keep you alive: relocating on every pulse (non-negotiable), spacing out from other survivors in the late hours, lantern discipline before climbs, and route knowledge of your map. Master those in the survival guide and no giant tier matters.
Tiers reflect community consensus and hands-on play, not official stats — ULTRA works has not published giant numbers. Expect them to shift as the rework rebalances both giants.
